Maximum Depth
[edit]There seems to be a typo re: the lake's maximum depth. I'm not sure how to rectify it. I'll look at the sources. Munchyhunch (talk) 22:40, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
Outlets
[edit]Is there a better way to word this?
- "In the early part of this closing two-outlet stage a small discharge went by way of Illinois River at Chicago. The basin there is only 8 feet (2.4 m) and the Nipissing beach is 15 feet (4.6 m) above the modern lake. The small discharge would have ended when the outlet at Port Huron had cut down 3 feet (0.91 m) or 4 feet (1.2 m)."
Like, what does this even mean? And "only 8 feet" what? Deep? Below some unmentioned point? Also, this pretty clearly shows that there were three outlets. When did the lakes stop draining through Chicago? Criticalthinker (talk) 05:34, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
