Seperate article for Nimki Vidhayak

[edit]

I feel that wP:CFORK appears to be a valid case here, since the series has been renamed. thoughts ? --DBigXray 13:27, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Show ka Naam changed kar dete hain YA phir nimki mukhiya ko nimki vidhayak se alag kar dete hain Im amitpanchal (talk) 03:33, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Write in English please. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:06, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DBigXray: a redirect from Nimki Vidhayak to Nimki Mukhiya is sufficient. I will even WP:TROUT you for sowing that seed. This article in itself is unnecessarily bloated with plot. All seasons (with different names) can coexist in one place. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 03:34, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:34, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Folks, I have been watching this serial and know a bit about it.
  • Nimki Mukhiya had multiple seasons, see here [1] All of them had the title Mukhiya. Our plot section for Mukhiya article, needs to be split into multiple seasons just like other articles.
  • Nimki Vidhayak, Is a spinoff of the old serial, with new story-line, new actors, Although it shares is history with the Mukhiya serial. Vidhayak has its own different page on Hotstar at [2]
User:Dharmadhyaksha I would love to understand what you are disputing here. Are you saying Vidhayak is not notable ? or are you against the SPLIT. IMHO this should be done. merging them will only create problems. there are many problems already here. lets work to fix it instead of adding more.--DBigXray 10:56, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
All am saying is keeping all relevant stuff on one page helps solve the ambiguity. We don't want walled gardens. And there isnt much (except for the neverending plot) that can't fit in a page for size constraints. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 08:54, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User:Dharmadhyaksha, I understand that you are opposing the WP:SPLIT of the article. But your justification of "keeping things at one page to solve ambiguity" is rather weak here. Please understand that WP:SPINOFF is a community supported and a valid method to deal with such cases. How will there be a confusion when the relevant overlapping material will be available at both the locations ? Nimki Vidhayak is a notable article on its own and should have its separate article --DBigXray 16:46, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DBigXray: Firstly lets see what do you propose on writing in the separate article. I assume it will be the plot, cast and some lines about when the show aired and maybe about reception. WP:SPINOFF, that you cited, says that separate article is necessary in case undue weight-age is being given to one particular section. I don't see any such thing happening here. In fact, WP:FILMPLOT says "Plot summaries for feature films should be between 400 and 700 words." Although no such guideline is given for TV show plots, the spirit of this guideline is to be followed here too and plot section should be cut short. You may also go through Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Writing about fiction. These all guidelines, along with Wikipedia:Television episodes, cross reference each other into saying that notability of separate spinoff/season should be gauged independently and if not, they should all be kept together. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 09:22, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User:Dharmadhyaksha, thanks for elaborating. Q. Are you claiming that Nimki Vidhayak is not notable ? --DBigXray 08:50, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's not standalone notable. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 10:24, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Dharmadhyaksha and DBigXray: FYI, someone moved the article from "Nimki Mukhiya" to "Nimki Vidhayak". - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:54, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fylindfotberserk, yes i saw. I can't say that I am surprised or i can blame him. DA is just being stubborn about it. --DBigXray 18:07, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@DBigXray: Probably they should discuss here first. I remember you moved it back to Nimki Mukhiya. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:09, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I can do it again and then again and again for how long? When I myself feel that the article must be split. --DBigXray 18:38, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am not taking part in this discussion further. You guys deal with it the way you want. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 02:38, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fylindfotberserk, What is your opinion after reading my justification for a split above ? do you agree with it ? please share your opinion along with a justification. --DBigXray 05:25, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DBigXray: Can't say, considering that all the Naagin seasons have been consolidated into a single Naagin (2015 TV series) article. If the new Nimki Vidhayak article can have large number od sources and content, then I'm in. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 08:12, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
