So how many centuries have been scored by nightwatchmen? Two seem to have been removed (the table now only lists four) but the article still states 6. --Frumpo (talk) 12:19, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Women's Nightwatchman
[edit]Given that since September 2021, we now use "batter", I have updated this article accordingly. Since this a red-ball term, I'm not sure it has seen much use in the Women's game. However, Kate Cross did play the nightwatch role in the 5-day Ashes Test versus Australia 22–26 June 2022, coming in at 7, above Amy Jones and Sophie Ecclestone.
I assume there is no consensus on degendering Nightwatchman yet? (See "Third Man"). AnsIdgag (talk) 13:56, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
