Untitled

[edit]

I'd first heard on a nigerian forum itself that the name was derived from the epithet "n----- area" referring to the basin with an obviously similar etymology (from some late 19th century british lord's wife's recommendation or something). Wikipedia isn't supposed to be censored.

long before the scramble that created the current 'african' countries'[1]

obviously had to blank it because there's no telling what an IP address may get 'smacked' for (compared to admins) <and the prime reason I don't use/recommend wikipedia as an encyclopedia> Not a rant. 103.137.93.103 (talk) 00:30, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Religious Breakdown

[edit]

The infoboxes of other Wikipedia articles covering nations usually include the religious breakdown of the country’s population. Why not this one? The body contains the information under the “Demographics” section, so why not have it immediately visible in the infobox? Is it controversial? Someone please add the religion statistics to the infobox. I would add it myself, but most of my edits are undone for unknown reasons or because I did not properly cite my sources, which seems a challenge for anyone less than tech-savvy like myself. Thank you. 66.91.36.8 (talk) 02:40, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
