Just a slight correction here -- the 1928-born former Congressman isn't the cartoonist (that's a heckuva relationship with his former wife, born in 1968!). The cartoonist is the eldest son, also named Nick.

Actually, the cartoonist is his nephew, the son of his brother Pete Galifianakis.

Racist?

[edit]
"Helms closed the gap by tying Galifianakis to his party's presidential nominee, George McGovern, and with the late-campaign slogan, "Jesse Helms: He's One of Us," an arguably racist reference to the Greek heritage of his opponent."

How does a white guy attacking a white guy, by associating him with another white guy, become "arguably racist"?

Updated sentence using same phrasing as used on Jesse Helms' page and as implied by the two referenced articles.69.130.248.32 (talk) 06:40, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"He is also the uncle of comedian Zach Galifianakis, who is his brother's son." Am I the only one who sees this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.211.158.107 (talk) 14:30, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
