[edit]

I'm not very experienced with editing, and am not sure what to do in this case. The Katherine Langrish link is bad, purports to visit her 5 favourite books, it actually seems to be some sort of legal statement page. Not sure if the original infringed copyright or something. I can't find a good link for this, not sure what to do in those circumstances. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caliandris (talkcontribs) 16:36, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I agree Caliandris - the Katherine Langrish link was broken and I could not find a citation for this source so removed the reference and the link. Growlytiger (talk) 00:47, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There seems to be version of it here on this blog: https://firebirdfeathers.com/2017/06/08/five-favourites-23-katherine-langrish/ Brianyoumans (talk) 13:40, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update in light of new findings

[edit]

Hello, I believe that in light of new research regarding Gray's life and death, this page should be updated. The new research is available here: http://www.imaginarymongoose.co.uk/blog/reviews/ns-gray/ Other secondary sources might be available. 88.121.137.32 (talk) 06:56, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Wow! Great piece! I think we should hold off using this in the article for now, since this is just a blog post, but I can't imagine that this isn't going to spawn some articles in secondary sources that we could use. Brianyoumans (talk) 15:35, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Scottish or British?

[edit]

Given Gray was born and raised in London, with an English father and Scottish mother, is the focus on him being Scottish in the categories maybe slightly misleading? Should we categorize him as British instead? 2003:C3:EF34:3101:A84B:80DB:2536:7BF0 (talk) 14:28, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • If he was American, he would be referred to as "Scottish-American", but terminology like that isn't as common in England. "Category:English People of Scottish descent" does seem to be an option, but I agree that calling him fully "Scottish" seems a little off. Brianyoumans (talk) 19:38, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
