GA review (see here for criteria)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
Can the use of "parkway" be cut down in the route description? Try to find synomyns. "a native path along the west side of the Niagara River had existed since before the arrival of Europeans.", what is "a native path" implying?
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Can a little more information about the route be added to the lead? Are there any shields available for the regional roads in the junction list?
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

I will place the article on hold for some fixes to be made. Dough4872 00:27, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I made a bunch of corrections, and removed many cases of "parkway". Unfortunately the regional road shields are not available at the moment. However, once they are made they will automatically show up. I changed "a native path" to "an aboriginal trail" to clarify that it was something created by the indigenous peoples that settled along the river over the centuries. I will now pass the article. Dough4872 02:23, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Aerial view

[edit]
The Niagara River whirlpool basin in Niagara Gorge

This aerial view of the Niagara Whirlpool includes a long stretch of the Parkway that is not represented in the article's four images. (One of the images, if i understand correctly, shows that the Parkway is "within metres of the river" above as well as below the falls.)

This image originally from Dutch wikipedia appears in some articles that are not listed on its file pages (Dutch and English) because I don't know how to edit Files. --P64 (talk) 20:22, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
