It's possible this page was created by the network's own staff. Is this acceptable? 71.220.145.113 (talk) 08:14, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is just a press release

[edit]

This appears to have been written by NewsNation staff. It is not a useful encyclopedic entry; it's just advertising and trivial details. I don't see any noteworthy reason for this page to exist. Ben (talk) 19:28, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you be more specific? I read through the lede and it seems accurate. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 20:45, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

It seems this article may be violating Wikipedia's policy on Neutral Point of View as it asserts opinions (e.g., CNN is "left wing") as facts. [Note that there is a citation, but source says no such thing]. It also leaves out any criticism. For example, News Nation's interview of President Trump is mentioned as a high point for the network in terms of viewership. That may be true, but it leaves out salient context. First, the numbers were astonishingly low:

WGN’s Trump Interview Draws Only 116,000 Viewers. The Tuesday interview was a big get for WGN’s fledgling “News Nation,” but only 25,000 viewers in the key demo tuned in. https://www.thewrap.com/wgn-trump-ratings/

Second, the interview itself was derided as "disappointing", "softball", and not "real news":

Joe Donlon’s disappointing interview with President Donald Trump Tuesday did little to help “News Nation,” the Chicago-based primetime news startup Donlon co-anchors on Nexstar Media Group’s WGN America. The softball exchange produced no real news or even a memorable sound bite. Donlon never followed up on any of Trump’s standard riffs, including claims about his handling of COVID-19 and his assertion that “the press is fake.” https://www.robertfeder.com/2020/09/24/robservations-tribune-publishing-apologizes-phony-phishing-expedition/

Was this article written by someone employed to do so? It appears an account was created just for this purpose in August. Ben (talk) 22:21, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that anyone would seriously dispute that FOX News tends have a conservative bias and CNN a liberal bias. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 20:57, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You should get out more. —JBL (talk) 12:49, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
