I'll take a look and jot queries below: Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 10:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

and the area surrounding the volcano has been inhabited by Native American populations for more than 10,000 years. - would any meaning be lost by making it less repetitive as "and the surrounding area has been inhabited by Native American populations for more than 10,000 years."
Changed to your version. ceranthor 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Within the caldera there are two lakes (Paulina Lake and East Lake), and the volcano and its vicinity feature many pyroclastic cones, lava flows, and lava domes, with more than 400 vents, the most of any volcano in the contiguous United States - this sentence should be split (after "East Lake.)". Also could be less repetitive in the second clause.
Changed to "The volcano and its vicinity feature many pyroclastic cones, lava flows, and lava domes; it has more than 400 vents, the most of any volcano in the contiguous United States." ceranthor 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Though Newberry Volcano's origins remain somewhat controversial - "controversial" these days has a somewjat pejorative or heated tone...would "debated" or "unclear/uncertain" be sufficient?
Changed to unclear. ceranthor 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
and has continued into the Holocene - implies that it is still active...but it isn't.. my bad
... and continues to post threats (it isn't sentient!) --> " and continues to pose a threat"?
Oops - that was definitely a typo. Good catch! Changed. ceranthor 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
"controversial" used again in para 2 of Geography section. Same query as preceding mention.
Changed to "debated." ceranthor 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Is it possible to add some sort of timeline for possible eruptions and what would be the quickest they'd erupt after a warning?
Cas - could you clarify what you mean? Don't want to embark on something but not what you intended. ceranthor 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I have thinking about disaster movies - I don't get a sense that if it was worst-case scenario, how long would the minimum warning time be? Days, weeks, hours or minutes? That interests me and I have no clue about it....does that make sense? Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 21:09, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Cas Liber - Ah, I understand. I don't think they've worked out an exact timeline! ceranthor 13:52, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Earwigs clear
I did some copyediting, hope it's ok.
Looks fine to me! ceranthor 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Overall the lead is a little choppy but the rest of the article reads well. It seems pretty comprehensive. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 11:12, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Cas, I should get to these EOD (the next few hours). Thanks for your feedback! ceranthor 18:39, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Think I've addressed them all except the timeline one, which I asked further about. Thanks! ceranthor 19:42, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, it was a long shot anyway and maybe unanswerable anyway. all done then. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 14:22, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
