New York Police Chief story

[edit]

Some years ago, I read a story in Reader's Digest regarding the New York Police Chief (Commissioner?) at the time. He had been adopted as a child and only recently (as of the time of the article) had he learned that his mother was from Newark, OH, back when it was a bustling railroad town sometimes known as "Little Chicago." The article was about his search for his mother's murderer, many decades later. I wish I could provide more context, but the details escape me entirely. -Fuzzy 17:25, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
