Comments:

  1. "Monroe and Livingston Counties", counties should be in lowercase here.
This topic is currently being debated at the US 41 in MI FAC. I don't know which is right, but I can't find any guidance in the MOS either way. For the time being, I have left it as it was.
  2. "before it ultimately enters open fields once again", do not need the word ultimately.
    Reworded.
  3. In the sentence "In Chili, NY 383 begins to run along the western bank of the Genesee River ahead of an intersection with NY 252." change "ahead of" to "before".
Upon re-reading that piece, the original didn't make much sense so I rewrote much of that section.
  4. "CSX Transportation West Shore Subdivision": do not have two wikilinks together. Instead say "CSX Transportation's West Shore Subdivision".
Reworded sentence to further distance them.
  5. "the Genesee" sounds colliqual.
    Changed to "the river".
  6. When describing progression of route, do not use "then".
Eliminated all but one in the route description, where I couldn't think of any wording that wouldn't make the sentence choppy.
  7. The sentence "NY 383 continues north on Plymouth Avenue through densely populated sections of the city to Ford Street, then shifts eastward to Exchange Boulevard." sounds awkward.
Heh, that's the sentence I couldn't reword above. =) Hmm...I thought of a better wording just now, so I rewrote it, eliminating the last RD use of "then" as well.
  8. In phrase "On Exchange Boulevard, Route 383 follows the Genesee's west bank under the Troup-Howell Bridge", change "on" to "along".
Like above, the original didn't make much sense when I re-read it, especially in conjunction with the rewritten sentence relating to Ford Street. I've rewritten most of that sentence.
  9. In History section, do not link terms already linked in route description.
I'm of the understanding that this practice is fine. The one item on WP:OVERLINK that I note is "Avoiding duplicate links in the same section of an article is generally a safe rule of thumb," and as far as I'm aware this article complies with that suggestion.
  10. "Between the hamlet of Mumford and Scottsville": "hamlet" should be pluralized.
    Oops. =) Fixed.
  11. "overlapped NY 35". Again, do not have two wikilinks together, perhaps used "ran concurrent with NY 35".
    Fixed.
  12. "In 1938, U.S. Route 20 was rerouted between Buffalo and Avon to follow NY 35.": Rephrase to say "In 1938, U.S. Route 20 was rerouted to follow NY 35 between Buffalo and Avon."
That does sound much better. Fixed.
  13. If known, street names should be added to the Major intersections table.
Added the ones used at some point in the article to the junction list.

I am placing the article on hold Dough4872 (talk) 00:47, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That was a very good review, much better than ones I've seen on GAN lately. Thanks! – TMF 04:26, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
