THE olympic, THE royal?

[edit]

i know it is common practice to include the "the" when referring to these restaurants, but is there any indication that simply "Royal" and "Olympic" arent their proper names?

Support - it is the same road so there is no logic in having two articles. There is no need to list the stores, though! BlueValour 21:08, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. JB82 16:22, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why? BlueValour 16:35, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As the user who requested the merge, I support. Agreed, no need to mention the stores unless they are notable enough for inclusion (the only one that meets that requirement is the outlet mall, IMO). That said, there's really not that much to merge into the article, so if someone wants to close out this request and make Military Road a redirect to New York State Route 265, I don't see a reason why they shouldn't. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 21:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. BlueValour 23:41, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This wasn't a good discussion, it was unadvertised and two people is not a discussion to achive consensus. I'm going to turn Military Road into a disambiguation page. There are other "Military Roads" in the United States, i.e. one in New Jersey for instance, another in South Carolina, many earlier than the one in New York. They will soon ahve articles. —ExplorerCDT 19:40, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
