GA review

[edit]
GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
Dates should have non-breaking spaces between the month/day and year
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
For the purposes of FAC, gribblenation.net may not be a reliable source.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
I took a peek at FA discussions for roads (and it's harder for me to pick on stuff now that my concerns are being addressed before the GA review), so I'll start bringing it up here - does the highway pass anything notable?
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Photo probably should be photoshopped to remove raindrops.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

Trying a little different tack with these reviews... let me know when you're done. Thanks. —Rob (talk) 17:16, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the reivew. I plan on finding sources to replace Glibbernation. The highway is in a pretty non-exciting area, and mostly anything that the route passes by is in the route description. I don't have the right programing to remove the raindrops from the image, so I'll try to find a new one. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 17:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I think I've done as much as I can to fix you concerns. Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 17:31, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All right. Yeah, even with photoshop cloning, the image is still going to be blurry. A new one would be better. —Rob (talk) 17:54, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have not the slightest clue as to where to find new images of the route; I live nowhere even close. Is the image important to the passing of GA? Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 17:56, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, but I figured you would find one quickly. I'll pass it in the meantime. —Rob (talk) 18:02, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it would be my luck that the two times I go by exit 42 in 2007 it rains (and the other two times the picture ended up blurry). The soonest I'll have another chance to snap that junction will be early August. In the meantime, the image that's there now should be sent to the graphics lab to improve the lighting (damn morning shots...).
Also, the reason that Gribblenation is still used as a reference is that my 1985 RMcN is unclear regarding NY 21's routing into the city. On the map, the Western Bypass is in place, but so is the black line showing NY 21 on Bristol Street. NY 21 may have been rerouted at a later time, but I personally find it unlikely. – TMF 20:57, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
