Hi, and thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. Unfortunately, this is gonna have to be a quick fail for several reasons:

  • Criteria 2: Verifiable with no original research
    • The article is currently tagged as needing more citations and there are numerous sentences/paragraphs without citations. See WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:NOR for some reasons why verifiability and citations to reliable sources are important. Additionally, the article cites sources of poor/questionable reliability, such as the New York Post and the New York Daily News-- see WP:RSP for more information on that. You should also look for more independent coverage of the regents exams
  • Criteria 3: Broad in its coverage
    • The article currently has a lot of information on reform efforts in the 21st century. What about in the 150 years the exams were administered first? What has the reception of the exams been? Have any journals studied the exams? Stuff like [1]
  • Criteria 4: Neutral
    • Has there been any criticism?
  • Criteria 6: Illustrated
    • There are no images. Consider adding some relating to people places or things relating to the regents.

Thank you again for your interest in improving this article, but it just isn't near the GA level yet. See WP:GACR for the GA criteria. Please consider addressing these concerns and re-nominating. Best, Eddie891 Talk Work 22:16, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
