New Russian → New Russians – WP:COMMONNAME Երևանցի talk 00:28, 22 August 2013 (UTC) In reference to the post-Soviet phenomenon, the term "New Russians" is used in plural. See the New York Times article and Google Books. --Երևանցի talk 00:28, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- Support about the people, not the new slang Russian language -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 06:50, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- Support per nom. --V3n0M93 (talk) 15:42, 24 August 2013 (UTC)
- This seems like a simple singular vs plural issue. Wikipedia:Naming conventions (plurals) says "In general only create page titles that are in the singular, unless that term is always in a plural form in English". The article itself demonstrates a singular usage: '"Look at my new tie," says a New Russian to his colleague'. Oppose. User:dbenbenn 23:22, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- As noted by the IP above, the term "New Russian" sounds like a modern form of the Russian language, not the social phenomenon. --Երևանցի talk 23:30, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- The guideline also gives Ukrainians as an example of an acceptable plural title. Jafeluv (talk) 12:28, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
- Support. Articles on groups of people often use a plural title and it looks somewhat more natural that way. The Russians article is similarly in the plural. Jafeluv (talk) 12:24, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Glory to god / thank god
[edit]слава богу, literally "glory to god", actually means "thank god".

Translation from Russian page
[edit]Hello,
Just wanted to give a heads up that I'm editing this page by translating from the Russian version, which is more comprehensive. Feel free to write if anyone has any comments.
Cactusbites (talk) 23:03, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
Hello again,
I've translated the remaining Russian text into English and have added it onto the page. I've removed the corresponding expansion from Russian page template. Hope that's ok.
