Original research
[edit]The following text was added to the article some time ago, but is uncited original research. -- NORTH talk 21:24, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- After that it was numbered State Route 159 but signs were never put up. The road begins concurrent to Bloomfield Avenue as a divided highway. Originally, County Route 506 signs were placed in this half mile section of Route 159/Bloomfield Avenue. Route 159 veers off to the left of Bloomfield Avenue eastbound and continues concurrent to a 2 lane street ending back at US 46 in Fairfield. Bloomfield Avenue though continues all the way down to Newark, New Jersey and runs concurrent with County Route 506. Until the late 1980's though, none of Route 159 had signs identifying it. Also Bloomfield Avenue had no 159 signs in that section nor did they have any County Route 506 signs on the long 506 portion. But road maps labeled the entire Bloomfield Avenue as County Route 506.
- But New Jersey technically funded the first ¾ of a mile of Bloomfield Avenue and the road that runs from the left back to Route 46. When repair and funding issues came up, the state finally tagged this short stretch of road State Route 159 by 1989. Essex County eventually added County Route 506 signs to Bloomfield Avenue.
GA Review

Comments:
- Try to get a map of the route for the infobox
- Fix redlink that should go to Fairfield Township, Essex County, New Jersey
- Change "uses the names" to "is called"
- In last sentence of lead, provide a wikilink to 1953 New Jersey state highway renumbering
- In first sentence of route description, change "of" to "with", wikilink County Route 506 (New Jersey), and change eastern terminus to western terminus, as this intersection is CR 506's western terminus
- "the Passaic" sounds colliqual
- "where it leaves Bloomfield Avenue and Route 506 to the north along Oak Road" sounds awkward, rephrase
- The first sentence in the second paragraph of the route description sounds redundant, eliminate information indicating road left Bloomfield Avenue
- Use " Bloomfield Avenue" instead of "Bloomfield"
- Change "on an at-grade intersection" to "at an at-grade intersection"
- The sentence "The Oak Road moniker ends at that intersection, at which it changes to Clinton Road, continuing Route 614's right-of-way." sounds awkward, rephrase
- "industrial residences"? sounds awkward
- Change the sentence "The right-of-way and moniker of Clinton Road continues as County Route 627" to "County Route 627 continues along Clinton Road past the eastern terminus of Route 159"
- In Route description, it might help if you can add mileposts for each intersection as indicated in the NJDOT straight-line diagram
- Remove "where 159's northern terminus occurs" from parentheses, place a comma after Fairfield, and use "Route 159" instead of "159"
- Again wikilink 1953 New Jersey state highway renumbering
- Add "occurred" after "when the 1953 renumbering of state highways"
- The history section looks a little short, is there any more information that can be added?
- Montville is in Morris County and not in Essex County
I am placing the article on hold Dough4872 (talk) 02:47, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Done. We as a project stopped using mileposts in Route descriptions, we just let you get away with it. :) - Mitch32(Go Syracuse) 17:42, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

- There are more problems that, which also affects U.S. Route 46, which both now have [not in citation given] issues. Mitch32(The man who renounces himself, comes to himself.) 05:32, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
