Comical

[edit]

This reads almost like a parody of modernist pretentiousness and self-delusion. To read it, one would thing that before these geniuses of banality came along no-one had ever built a house on 4,200 square feet of land before. That's more than most of the multi-million pound townhouses of central London for heaven's sake. This shoddy dross isn't anything to do with "urban living" because it is in a suburb and was built with suburbanist escapism in mind. It is as suburban as any McMansion. Who do you mean to insult, the architects or the wikipedia article editors (including me)? And, do you have any suggestion for improving the article? Thanks for your reaction, anyhow. :) doncram (talk) 23:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

name, name

Neutra, Richard and Dion, VDL Research House II reads like an index entry. Is it really called that, and not "Richard and Dion Neutra VDL Research House II"? —Tamfang (talk) 21:31, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. And i think it is how the house's name appears in the National Register's NRIS database. I'll change the article now to use the unwrapped version, as you suggest, now. --doncram (talk) 14:06, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
