Member "station"
[edit]I have amended the entry at "Member station" in the infobox from NOS to NPO to reflect the current situation, though – the article being historical – there really ought to be an indication (perhaps by note) of the changing national membership of the EBU over time. "Member station" is also something of a misnomer, since it is not "stations" but broadcasting organizations (most of them operating many stations) which belong to the EBU. -- Picapica (talk) 10:27, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Subsequent to the above – I see that the equivalent article for France shows the country's changing EBU membership in a dated list. I therefore propose to imitate that style in this artcle. -- Picapica (talk) 10:38, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Amended my amendment! Although the umbrella name of Dutch public television is now NPO, the NOS -- as the official Dutch member of the EBU -- still presents the contest in the Netherlands under its own "flag". nl:Nederlandse_Omroep_Stichting#Buitenland: De Nederlandse kandidaat voor het Eurovisie Songfestival wordt ingebracht onder de vlag van de NOS en de NOS zendt het programma ook uit. -- Picapica (talk) 10:40, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
