About

[edit]

NetMind was a significant internet pioneer in the late 1990s, pioneering web page change detection and notification algorithms and real-world services many years before other companies such as Google, developed their own alert systems. NetMind amassed over 6 million loyal users and went onto a highly successful acquisition by Puma Technology (Intellisync), in turn acquired by Nokia. --Scruzin (talk) 11:17, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Change detection and notification functionality

[edit]
Change detection and notification (CDN) is assigned to TCP/IP port 2412 with IANA port numbers.

It's not clear why this sentence ― ie about change detection and notification functionality being linked to TCP/IP port 2412, and this assignment being officially recognised by IANA — was put in the article.

Suggest some other words are needed to put it into context, and to tie it in, with the rest of the article. -- ash (talk) 04:11, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

It's not clear what the link to ChangeDetect.com has to do with NetMind. eg. The company doesn't appear to have been a successor.
