Greek influence
[edit]The article states that Nestor "...disliked Greek influence in Kiev", with the word "Greek" linked to Medieval Greek. I wonder about this. Did he really dislike the influence of the Greek language, or did he dislike the influence of the Byzantine court? MishaPan (talk)

Fourth paragraph, fifth line: "a nobleman ninety years of age"
[edit]The above-mentioned statement seems to be unclear to me. Was the nobleman ninety years of age when he died or during some other time? 98.17.118.221 (talk) 21:20, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
Use of circular sources
[edit]I've removed the paragraph, "Historian Sergey Solovyov remarked that Nestor cannot be called the earliest Russian chronicler, but he is the first writer who offered a national perspective in his history, the others being merely local writers. The language of his work, as shown in the earliest manuscripts just mentioned, is Palaeo-Slavonic with many examples of Russianism.[1]"
from the text as being circular. See the only entry for it available. Texts which are collations of material directly from Wikipedia are never used as reliable sources. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 18:51, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
