[edit]This article is to reinstate the reputation of an artist to which history, perhaps because of the war, has not been kind. My interest is that he was well known to my family. I hope to arouse the interest of the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Musee de Beaux-Artes in Brussels to confirm his merit.
