Date for The Prodigal Mother

Shute in We Mixed Our Drinks says it was put on in 1937, but the verifiable evidence is against that. There is a report that it was considered for November 1937. But the January 1938 date comes with a statement that it was a "new comedy". At the end of 1937 the Wentworth Days were in Egypt, so perhaps it was postponed. In any case Shute is not the most reliable autobiographer. Charles Matthews (talk) 11:35, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
