No reason this should be on GAN for so long! I'll review this.
- First, source for where it was recorded?
- Opening sentence should probably be "was" not "is"
- Source for release date?
- What is "The band's studio autonomy"?
- You mention the recording starting in February 2009 after the band's reunion... twice in the lead. Any way to cut out one of them?
- "Despite this, Neighborhoods did not connect on the same scale as earlier releases and the band would depart from Interscope the following fall. " - what does it mean "connect on the same scale"
- "and a fatal plane crash involving Barker" - this implies Barker died. You should clarify that ASAP he wasn't killed. Also, is it worth mentioning where the crash happened?
- "DeLonge found out via the TV news at an airport while waiting to board a flight." - the news of the crash? Or the rumor of the reunion? The wording could be clearer.
- "One was 'Do you remember who we were?' and the other was 'This is who I am now,' " DeLonge says. "It was a good moment to put the shit aside." - is the quote needed?
- "The album sessions will be partially documented in The Blinkumentary" - is this still forthcoming?
- Watch for overlinking in "Touring and aftermath" section
- Should you add in the aftermath section that as of 2014, they're working on a new album?
All in all, pretty good article! This shouldn't be too difficult to take care of. Lemme know if there are questions. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 06:02, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
Genre
[edit]I think it is okay to add punk rock genre to the article 'cause Natives and Heart's All Gone are straight up punk songs. If any confusion/deal with it, we can discuss it any time you'd like to. ManneredMan (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:23, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Chris Holmes
[edit]Hi @Revirvlkodlaku,
As part of creating the article about Chris Holmes (DJ and musician), I added links to the Chris Holmes mentioned in this article. I incorrectly assumed that the Chris Holmes mentioned in this article was the same person. Chris contacted me and let me know that he wasn't involved. See full email below, with relevant line emphasized.

There is so stuff in there that is not me. I can send you a bio. I had nothing do with the blink 182 or motion city soundtrack.
Also it doesn’t mention my work with Red Dead Redemption Deadman’s gun which I wrote produced and performed.
Anyway let me know and I can clarify it more
Thanks again Chris WidgetKid (talk) 13:58, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @WidgetKid, this whole thing smacks of conflict of interest, what with the subject of an article communicating with you directly, but as I don't know the first thing about any Chris Holmes, I can't insist that the link remain. I do recommend that you think carefully about what you do and do not accept as true from this individual who claims to be a certain person, without having a credible reference either way. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 22:04, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Revirvlkodlaku That's totally fair. I contacted the person who is the subject of the article to see if I could get an image to include in the article. I have no reason to think he isn't being truthful about not being involved. I have no third party verifiable sources about his involvement, so unlinking seemed like the prudent thing to do to fix my error. WidgetKid (talk) 22:25, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
