[edit]"Ned Sherrin is notably mentioned in Douglas Adams' fifth novel of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, namely Mostly Harmless. In chapter four it says that Tricia McMillan wishes to "gradually fall asleep to the sound of Ned Sherrin being terribly clever about something"." Just saying that something is notable doesn't make it so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.157.239.6 (talk) 21:58, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Gay?
[edit]The article doesn't state that he is openly gay - why is he in this category listing?
- Because he is. --62.255.236.92 03:09, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
His favourite colour is blue, he likes steak and chips, but eats fish once a week, and he has been on holiday to a number of different resorts around the world. Yet he isn't categorised based on these criteria at all.
Could that have anything to do with them not being at all notable aspects of him? After all, he is here because he is a notable satirist, not because of any of those attributes. But then, we shouldn't be surprised as no-one is politicking on the points we mentioned.
So let me re-ask the question asked by an earlier anon editor, why is he in a LGBT category when his sexuality has nothing to do with why he is notable? jguk 17:31, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Nobody deigns to answer this after a year.........there's a surprise now. PAH! 88.107.133.12 22:42, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
