First of all, "navigated by their mighty beacons" is a silly phrase. Also, the lights have not been "extinguished." At least one of them operates nightly.

The sillyness was external: someone copied all of that from a copyrighted page, so it has been removed. 68.39.174.238 18:07, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The towers have names, but I am not sure which is which. I think the northern one is Marconi Tower and the southern one is named (bizarrely) North Tower.
