All Concerned,
I am writing as the Assistant Supply Corps Officer from NMCB 40. We are attempting to post history about our Battalion based on information pulled from a website maintained by NMCB 40. We do not have the specific point of contact or webmaster information. We would like to get our information on this site so I would prefer to avoid deletion. Please let me know what is required and I will provide the answer. Thank you.

- My suggestion is to go to Wikipedia:MIL, where there are editors who would be willing to help you. Specifically, you could contacts one of the coordinators (see lower right side of page.) The article isn't acceptable in its present form, but I am sure there are many willing to help you make it acceptable.--SPhilbrickT 14:03, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, the Navy website should be in the public domain. I've added attribution to the bottom of the page; this should not be removed at any time, unless the source is determined to be not in the PD. Sphilbrick is correct though, that this article requires a great deal of work to meet Wikipedia's standards. It is often difficult to write about groups you are close to; please read our policy on conflicts of interest. I am sorry that your CO put you in this position; know that it is all too common. I would also suggest posting at Wikiproject Military History, where you may find editors who can help you develop this article without your possible conflict of interest making that difficult. --Danger (talk) 17:08, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
