Articles on fringe topics

[edit]

It's fine to have an article on a fringe topic, but that needs to be called out early on, so the reader can situate the article properly among the majority opinions. This article does not do that. See articles such as Flat Earth, Geocentric model, Steady-state model, Miasma theory, Holocaust denial, Hyperdiffusionism, New chronology (Fomenko), Jesus in India, Indigenous Aryanism, and others for ideas on how to handle this here. This is important, although I am - at present - a bit unsure how we could do this. The present lede is based on Nationalism in the Middle Ages, albeit the question of nationalism in antiquity is more fringe than that theory, albeit it's not disproven or superceded like a lot of those linked articles. There are still some adherents today who believe nationalism demonstrably existed in antiquity. Nevertheless, worth pondering and maybe someone (or myself) can have a pass at the intro.
