Membership and resignations

[edit]

There were supposedly 32 members prior to the recent resignations. Where does this information come from? Only 27 people appear in our list. Of these, seven are marked as resigned, not eight, and the current website [1] has only 20 entries.

I haven't seen a definitive list of who actually submitted their resignations. According to the Wayback Machine for the site, David Grain of Grain Management LLC was also a member in June. That list has 28 entries, so perhaps he's the extra resigner. But another data point can be found in the April 2017 meeting minutes [2], which names 22 (not 32) members. Several individuals listed there do not appear elsewhere, which suggests there's been additional churn in this group.

It would be helpful if we could locate some reliable secondary reports, rather than having to rely on original research of primary sources. Any thoughts? jxm (talk) 17:16, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reference 4 supplies much of the content of this article but is completely dead; there does not seem to be a corresponding article on the NIAC website that supplies as much information in as much detail as this article did. Some of the information sourced from this dead link is also out-of-date. If nobody else touches this up before I can come back to it I will do my best, though I'm admittedly pretty new to this whole wikipedia editing thing.
