Article has several statements in need of citations; some are definitely correct, but just need citations (e.g. statements about energy usage and fuel sources in United States can be easily obtained from EIA, http://www.eia.gov); other statements are more dubious and definitely require citations, but not obvious to me where the information comes from (e.g. small/independent oil and gas operators are "backbone" of US oil and gas industry).
