[edit]I'm having to read a portion of The Simple Cobler of Aggawam in America in a class right now and my professor said it was actually a satire and really in favor of religous toleration. I can't say for sure, but some of his arguments do appear to be purposely exaggerated with religous imagery, which would suggest satire. - Jordan 1/23/06
- There is a section of the 'Cobler' on [1]. It is difficult to decide from it whether he is in favour of religious toleration or not. Until someone can deduce his opinions, I have removed references to his intolerance. JMcC 16:55, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- There is now a free download e-text of The Simple Cobler of Aggawam in America on Project Gutenberg - see link in the main article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roslin344 (talk • contribs) 22:32, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
