[edit]I've worked on Nathaniel's page to clarify some footnotes and some stylistic problems. Trogon (talk) 18:24, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
I attempted to weave information from my conversations with NT into the existing page, primarily to add detail about his published work. Please let me know if anyone has any concerns that I may have raised and could address. Thanks. Trogon (talk) 19:06, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
I am working with Nathaniel on a significant revision of this page. You can see it here: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Trogon/NathanielTarnDraft. I would appreciate any guidance as to how to post it to the wiki. In particular, can I just replace the existing text with this version? Thanks. --Trogon (talk)

Close relationship
[edit]I concur with Orangemike's original assessment.
Wikipedia dislikes single-issue authors for obvious reasons.
I had never heard of Tarn, but I have liked Cape and Cape Editions for years. I have recently written a Cape Editions page, and in the process of doing so, I discovered Tarn.
(Tarn is an area in the south of France, is it not? Gorges du Tarn? It's a river?)
I accept that the article is much more balanced and disinterested now, but, as Mike pointed out, it would still benefit from wikification.
It is badly in need of links. Varlaam (talk) 22:42, 27 June 2011 (UTC) (Toronto)
- Saying that Manchuria is in the PRC? Where they use RMB? Probably more people understand Manchuria than PRC.
- It's simpler to link to Manchukuo and drop the PRC.
- Varlaam (talk) 22:49, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- Also, in my article, I'm using a publisher's bio. That's not the best.
- Is there a university faculty bio available somewhere?

Vandalism
[edit]While much recent vandalism had already been reverted, some child's conversion of his name to Nathaniel Tard throughout had remained. While fixing that, I took the opportunity also to expand some portions of the article, and to add an infobox. However, it's clear that a bunch more work still needs done -- I imagine house style would prefer to remove or at least be much more selective of the lists of his works, for starters. Alas, I am out of time. Erskiji (talk) 23:02, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
[as regards Varlaam's aged post above, I should perhaps also note that it is unlikely there is a university faculty bio available somewhere, as he retired in 1985, before such things were common; however, I was able to cobble together some things from various publisher and poetry-journal biographies already linked...plus a close reading of the authority-records linked at the bottom of the page, of all things....] Erskiji (talk) 23:02, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
