"Baal Hamukot"?

[edit]

This term appears to be a mistake and the author most likely meant "Megaleh Amukot."--brewcrewer (yada, yada) 19:43, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Ba'al Hamukot" meaning in Hebrew: "the man who wrote the book named 'Hamukot'"אור שפירא (talk) 09:05, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

the name should be nathan neta

[edit]

the way the word נטע pronounced neta, anyone can change it? (I didn't find the way)אור שפירא (talk) 09:02, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted your changes to the spelling of his name—the traditional name נטע (Note, Nota or Nata, a nickname for נתן Natan, Ashkenaxi Noson) is not related to the Modern Hebrew name נטע Neta.
Also, I've reverted to the spelling Spiro instead of Shapira—both spellings are used, but I think Spiro is more ancient.

Is there a source for "Spiro" being more ancient? If anything, one would expect Shapiro or Shapira, as that was how the name was most likely actually pronounced. 2620:0:1045:1F:712B:87F2:DA9D:4615 (talk) 11:40, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
