About the image

[edit]

Hello, Firstly, thank you. I appreciate all the hard work tht people have put into this page over the years. However I do have a dispute that I wish to be edited as soon as possible.

The current image displayed on my page is not anywhere near an accurate depiction of who or what my in ring character is. It was a one time appearance for a promotion using their prop (pictured in my hand) not to mention the image is 9 years old and I have physically changed in appearance in almost a decade.

I feel that the image has been replaced from the previous studio shot of me simply as a form of online ‘trolling’ which can be raised as cyber bullying. I don’t want it to come to that, I’m hoping that we can resolve this issue over here amicably. But simply put, this is not the image I want associated with my in ring persona. I haven’t wore that jacket to the ring since that one time appearance. I’d much sooner have no image on the subject page rather than the one displayed. It does not AT ALL represent what my profession is or who I am as an individual.

Hello Nathan. The studio photo I removed is not correctly licensed for Wikipedia (or Wikimedia commons where it is hosted). Please see this user talk section for more details and how to get that fixed if you wish to.
I will copy here what I said about the images: "I'm afraid that even if you can obtain a valid license, I do not think that the image improves Wikipedia: the current picture gives the reader a real-life impression of the subject rather than a posed publicity photograph. So I would probably restore the original even if the alternative has a suitable license." Of course that was also posed but it does look a bit more lifelike, if I may say so. At the very least, once the licensing has been sorted out, the studio shot would have to be cropped to get rid of the studio name.
I think your best best is to invite a friend or cooperative photographer to take some pictures, for example of you in the ring from a good seat, and then get the person who took the photos to upload them to Wikimedia commons as their own work. I (or perhaps another editor) would then be happy to put a better photo in the article. You could post here to let us know there are new photos.
Please sign on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your ip address and the date. You would be most welcome to create an account if you wish (but it would be better not to edit this article) and then your account name would show instead of your IP address. If you have any general questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. --Mirokado (talk) 20:00, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
