arrested..

[edit]

Please, check: according to the current version, Gorbanevskaya was in psikhushka during two years. This statement is not supported by sources; according to the text by Gorbanevskaya, she was relased soon. Please, check the sources and correct it. If any contradiction in sources, it should be mentioned in the article.dima 03:57, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here are some Google Books links I brought up on the matter. Make of them what you will. They give me the impression that Gorbanevskaya was indeed locked up for almost two years but on previous occasions had been released....so perhaps both points are correct. qp10qp 05:09, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Detention in psychiatric hospital

[edit]

After the 25 August 1968 demonstration two of the participants Gorbanevskaya and Victor Fainberg were examined by psychiatrists and declared mentally ill. Gorbanevskaya was soon released, while Fainberg remained in the Leningrad SPH for another 4-5 years.

It was after Gorbanevskaya's trial in 1970 that she was sent to the Kazan SPH.
