As the opening sentence implies, "natality rate" is a redundant term, as is, for that matter, "mortality rate." These tautologies are commonplace, but no less solecisms for that. Wikipedia could set a good example by eschewing such usage. Orthotox (talk) 18:52, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- simple.wikipedia.org translation (not being snarky): "Natality" is a rate. This means that the phrase, "natality rate" is like saying, "rate of population growth rate". Even though people often say it this way, it's still wrong. Wikipedia could set a good example by not using phrases like that.
