Chronology—Masoretes
[edit]How can a papyrus from the second century (whether CE or BCE) contain a portion of the Masoretic Text when the Masoretes date from the seventh century CE onward?--12.109.41.2 17:17, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- It's written a tad ambigously. The meaning seems correct, however. The younger Masoretic texts hold major similarities to this fragment, thus one can say, the Nash papyrus contains a portion of what was centuries later repeated and widespread in the Masoretes. --Oneliner 11:50, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Current location?
[edit]Information on which library currently keeps the papyrus would certainly enhance the article's value. --Oneliner 11:42, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
