[edit]She was very notably. Besides what is listed in the article - she helped establish the first women’s hospital in Persia, as well as a hospital in Siam and theological education in Korea. Nettie donated $8 million to hospitals, churches, disaster and relief agencies, and educational institutions, from 1890 until her death in 1923. Plus she donated another 4 million to the seminary that was named after the family. She was the driving force behind the rebuilding of the company after the Great Fire of 1871. She is a notable figure in history as a philanthropist and savvy businesswoman guiding her famous husband's company to greatness. All of the references back up how truly historic and notable a woman she was. Krosewood (talk) 17:42, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
