Parenting Style as Context (https://doi.org/10.1037/0033-2909.113.3.487) is by far and away my most cited paper. It made a major distinction between parenting style and parenting practice (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Parenting_styles) that is currently used in almost all discussions of the topic. It was written during my post-doc with Laurence Steinberg (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Laurence_Steinberg)
Most of my work since 2000 (including the cited work on lying) focuses on legitimacy of parental authority. This topic has been explored in the US, Chile, and the Philippines as underlying adolescents' decisions to share information (parental monitoring) rather than lie or argue and to obey or disobey. My current work looks at legitimacy of parental and doctors' authority to influence children and adolescents' treatment. Nancydarling (talk) 17:40, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
