Name right?

[edit]

I saw this in Category:Hudson's Bay Company forts and, first, though it should be The Bastion as it's not a proper name of the usual kind that doesn't take "the" before it, e.g. Cassiar Mountains, Fraser River, or Fort Langley. But wans't this Fort Nanaimo, or part of it?Skookum1 (talk) 03:42, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit needed

[edit]

The second paragraph has this sentence: " During the Summer of 2010, the Bastion was torn apart, to renew rotting boards, and stabilizing steel beams." It should be either " During the Summer of 2010, the Bastion was torn apart, to renew rotting boards and stabilizing steel beams" or " During the Summer of 2010, the Bastion was torn apart, to renew rotting boards and add stabilizing steel beams". Which is correct? --KenWalker | Talk 15:49, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

nice image, but no room for it

[edit]

From the British Library collection, also showing certain vessels which it may be possible to identify,

View of Nanaimo Harbour [sic] showing the Bastion and shipping
