Toodyeep or Tooyeep?

[edit]

I have edited the reference to the Aboriginal woman whose name was connected to the name of Toodyay so that it consistently is spelled including the 'd'. Since Moore's diary spells it this way, and the Riseley article also does so on one of its two uses of the name, it seems likely that the spelling occurrence without the 'd' was an error, perhaps by newspaper typesetters or perhaps by Riseley in his draft. I am happy to be corrected with evidence, or course. And the other comment would simply be to observe that the spelling of the Noongar language using the Latin alphabet is a bit of a compromise anyway - not that there are better alternatives really.
