Enclave
[edit]Is Naluthara really an enclave of Puducherry (that is, part of another state surrounded by Puducherry territory), or is it an exclave of Puducherry (part of Puducherry surrounded by another state's territory)? Skinsmoke (talk) 17:22, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- After googling and doing various map searches, including http://www.mapsofindia.com/maps/pondicherry/districts/mahe.html, I can see that there is a place called Naluthara (coordinates point to a spot on the map that is in the coastal pene-enclave section of Mahe) and Chembra (a nearby mountain peak), but they are not shown in the landlocked enclave part of Mahe district. Nor are they names of a district or some type of larger area. Chalakkara, Palloor and Pandakkal are the only parts of that enclave shown at http://mahe.gov.in/.
