Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because <it is a genuine article about an existing company containing only factual, current information>. — Tokyodcs (talk) 03:58, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because <it looks to be fine, and somebody has done a good job. I looked at it and I couldnt find andy problem with the information, it is factual and matches the company's website. This is a good start, I will also do some formatting to improve the look of the page.>. — Masaki35 (talk) 12:51, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Duplication Detector

[edit]

The Wikipedia duplication detector is saying 3 sections are duplicated and there is a red message on the top o the page spoiling the look of the page. I have referenced these sections and fixed other areas. Can you please take this red br section away please. Tokyodcs (talk) 07:28, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It does not matter whether these spoil the look of the page: they are indicating a possible violation of Wikipedia policy or standards. Sections in this article duplicate significant sections of other likely copyrighted material and thus may be in violation of copyright. See WP:CV. Simply citing them does not clear up the copyright violation, though that is a first step. You must significantly rewrite the language until it no longer duplicates the other material. Only at that point can the copypaste template be removed. Also note that in order to clear up one of the other tags about using only primary sources, you have to find sources other than those produced by the subject of the article. These tags will remain until you or another user clears up the problem. Michitaro (talk) 14:01, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for your advice in regards to writing the article correctly. I would like to do a good job and ensure everthing is fine for Wikipedia. From looking at the duplication detector, the problem now is the history section. There are 3 areas still appearing. I have re-ritten the entire History section, but it still is showing up. The words now are the “Tokyo Stock Exchange”, “the imperial theatre”, “nihon bashi bridge”. These are all factual happenings. How is the best way to include them? I will also increase the number of references to primary sources today. Tokyodcs (talk) 02:42, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have checked it again and will remove the copypaste tag. Thank you for clearing that up. I would suggest next finding third-party sources to verify the notability of the subject and some of the assertions about the subject contained in the article. Michitaro (talk) 03:11, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help Michitaro, I am happy we have been able to improve the quality of the article and it is suitable for the Wikipedia format. Looking much better now. I have spent the last few hours reading through the article in order to add the primary references, links to other Wikipedia page, links from other Wikipedia pages to avoid the orphan tag, as well as links to external pages that are related to or verify the material in the article. I hope this solves the two problem in yellow and orange. Will this be ok for Wikipedia now? Tokyodcs (talk) 05:43, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
