Photos

[edit]

I am in the process of negotiating permission for use of photos from Nadine herself. Hopefully this will be completed within the next week or so. — Loadmaster 22:15, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, it's done now: Image:NadineVelazquez1.jpg. Thanks to the lovely Nadine for granting permission. — Loadmaster 00:01, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't the photographer of this image be required to grant permission? Also, she didn't relinquish and rights during your email exchange, only allowing you to post it to Wikipedia. There is no mention of the GFDL or CC3.0 licenses which this image is now claiming to be licensed under. What a mess. Mopenstein (talk) 02:13, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography

[edit]

Nadine has asked that there be no mention of her appearance in House of the Dead 2, and that her first notable appearance be her role in My Name Is Earl. An extract of her private email to that effect:

From : "Nadine Velazquez"
To: "David R Tribble"
Date: Nov 27, 2006 19:46
Subject: hi from nadine velazquez

[...]
I prefer that you do not mention House of the Dead as a credit
and i would rather you, instead, introduce me at Catalina on
My Name Is Earl as the very first credit. Next, if you want or
need a film credit, please mention that i am in the movie Rogue
with Jason Stathum and Jet Li which will be released in 2007.

So? Is any reason given why we should suppress this piece of information?--Kotniski (talk) 12:24, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's her request, so maybe it carries some weight under the guidelines of WP:Biographies of living persons. — Loadmaster (talk) 04:26, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think it pretty clearly doesn't in this case - her having appeared in a film is hardly private or libellous information. Wikipedia isn't a PR outlet where subjects get to publicize themselves on their own terms.--Kotniski (talk) 09:54, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
