Identity, citizenship

[edit]

Article made unsourced claims.

  • Palestinian-Armenian: A. Pal in what sense? Probably not a PA citizen. B. Armenian: unsourced. Maybe married to?
  • Gruber website: dead link, apparently to Gruber Prize of 2008. The website has a NS-K CV page and a Gruber Prize 2008 page mentioning her in detail and with a couple of spin-offs. None mentions ethnicity and/or citizenship. This or the other CV describes her vaguely as "Palestinian feminist", period.

Born & raised in Haifa, she is certainly Israeli. Judging by the name, she is most likely Arab and it's obvious that she identifies as Palestinian. Armenian she might not be at all, just married to one, or be in part: not known as of now. About her holding a second, American citizenship: also not known, unsourced. Her HUJI bio has:
Nationality: Israeli, American
I don't know what "nationality" is supposed to mean. Citizenship, I do.
There are residence rights, Green Card, naturalisation, finally citizenship. Arminden (talk) 13:38, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

[edit]

The first title in the infobox refers to her chair at HU in Jerusalem, which as of late August is now vacant, given her resignation. Perhaps it is too early, and we may need further sources that clarify this, but if her resignation is accepted, then she is no longer chair, rather 'former' chair there.
