This page seems to be identical in format to other insurance company Wikipedia entries, please explain specifically how I can improve this page so that it is not marked for speedy deletion. The information contained is factual and backed by citations, is the chosen username the source of the problem? My goal is to conform to the Wikipedia guidelines, however, I am a bit confused as to what I need to do.

I have added an {{undisclosed paid}} tag to this article. It has a promotional tone and there has been involvement by numerous single purpose accounts intent on removing previously placed {{COI}} tags. Almost all content in this article seems to have been written by those single-purpose accounts and the original creator, NJMsocial (talk · contribs), who has since been blocked for advertising. Some of the SPAs have conveniently stopped editing after being asked about conflicts of interest ([1][2], [3][4]). Courtesy ping to Theroadislong and MarioGom who have previously tagged this article. Now that you mentioned it, I'm thinking it needs a total revision. I know some of the companies history will need to be kept, but I need to know, what can we do with it? 20chances (talk) 01:56, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Section for “Advertising”

[edit]

I’ve heard that since 2021, there were a bunch of ads for NJM which feature the slogan “No Jingles or Mascots, Just Great Insurance”. Most of these ads involve mascots of fictional insurance companies; one example shows a blue narwhal which is the potential mascot of NJM. Another shows a couple at a drive-thru noticing a flamingo on roller skates, which is the mascot of “Pink Flamingo Auto Insurance”. Can someone please ad a section to this article about the adverts, including the “No Jingles or Mascots” ones? 2601:8D:8700:A2D:1184:8486:4A60:807A (talk) 16:26, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We're not going to do that unless there has been substantial coverage of these ads in reliable sources. Otherwise, it's undue emphasis on non-encyclopedic content. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:56, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am an employee at NJM and we would like changes to our page.

  • In Products and Services > Commercial Insurance, please replace the copy and citation with the following. It is more specific and detailed re: the company’s founding and replaces NJM’s link with an external one. "NJM was founded in 1913 to provide workers’ compensation for New Jersey businesses. NJM’s initial goal was to create safe working conditions and reduce the frequency of injury, according to the company’s history website."[1]
  • In History, replace the fourth paragraph with the following. It expands on our company’s history and is more detailed and accurate. “NJM relocated its home office to its current location on Sullivan Way in West Trenton in 1967. In 1921, NJM expanded to commercial and personal auto insurance and home insurance. The Company operates in a mutual fashion for the exclusive benefit of its policyholders. Headquartered in West Trenton, NJ, NJM employs nearly 2,500 workers.”[2]
  • In History, change the fifth paragraph to this, “Gotham FC midfielder Carli Lloyd became an NJM spokesperson in 2015.”[3]
  • In Products and Services > Personal Insurance, in the first sentence of the paragraph replace citation #10 from ROI-NJ.COM with the following two citations: [4][5] The original citation used copy from the NJM website whereas these provide original coverage.
  • In Products and Services > Personal Insurance, in the second sentence of the paragraph replace citation 11, which used NJM's website, with the following citation: [6]
  • In the third subheading, Consumer safety and corporate giving, the citation in the third paragraph uses NJM's website. Replace it with the following: [7][8][9]
  • Within the infobox, please remove Tracy A. McManimon from Key People as she is now retired. In her place, please add Kate Ro, Senior Vice President & General Counsel Documentation, and use this citation: [10]

Dobby1031 You will get a faster response if you mark this section as a formal edit request, see WP:ER for instructions. I will note that it is not your company's page(suggesting ownership), but a Wikipedia article about your company, no different than if The New York Times writes about your company. 331dot (talk) 20:00, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
