Welcome. I hope that this article grows and becomes... well, better, for lack of a better (no pun intended) word. Perhaps this and the Magyar Nemzet article could use better organization and some more historical background information? Maybe one of the native Hungarian members could provide more information about that. Anyway, I hope to see you all working on this and other Hungarian Wikipedia entries. --18:07, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Cleaned up place for our little argument

[edit]
OK, let's make something clear: I'M NOT A COMMUNIST. I don't even voted to MSZP. And thanks, i know our national anthem pretty well.. and i'm also aware of the history of Hungary. But still think, that wikipedia should be free of any political view. Syro 00:08, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And by the way, it's pretty ironic, that you are such a patriot and you don't even live in Hungary. And you are very gullible too, if you realy believe that FIDESZ is so much better than MSZP. We, hungarians, who actually live in our country know, that FIDESZ is just a bunch of the same scumbags who ruled our home before 1989. They just declared themself "right-wing", and "civic", but the story is the same. They are all liers. And think about something: I could also leave Hungary and move to the west. I know life could be better there, but still, I stay at home. Syro 06:45, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oooh, tough guy, eh? Tell me, how exactly is Orban & Co. the same as the pre-89 communists who I believe detest and declare their hatred for FIDESZ time and time again. Does "D-209" mean anything to you? And do I need to remind you how Hungary was doing better under FIDESZ before 2002 than now? And how many graft and money laundering scandals were exposed even by your own liberal media in the past two years or so concerning Medgyessy and Gyurcsany and their little friends? You are purposely vague because you know that you are losing. Also, why do you think I am a patriot, or a Hungarian really for that matter. I am not. Just because I can speak Hungarian doesn't mean that I am a Hungarian. I can't write worth shit, for example. I have never even lived in Hungary. You overestimate my interest in this issue. Oh yeah, you wonder why I can vote in Hungary, right? Well, let's just say that is the result of a fortunate turn of events in the late 90's. Yes, that means that I am a citizen but not a resident. I am not Hungarian, so don't preach to me about nationalism or patriotism as how could I be either? --PistolPower 18:22, 9 February 2006 (UTC) P.S: You are a communist. Get used to people actually calling you that. Now now, don't go crying to your AVO buddies just yet...[reply]

I must admit, I've never seen such an idiot like you. You never lived in Hungary, you don't even consider yourself a Hungarian, and still, you think you know better what's happening here. Hungary was doing better under fidesz? How the fuck do you know? You don't live here. First I thought that " borderline personality disorder" userbox on your page was a joke. Now I see that it was not. You shouldnt be allowed to edit articles here... Syro 18:34, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It is a joke... get over it. I am just highly opionated and overly critical. Now, where were we? Oh yes, you and your commie tricks. I challenged you to prove to me that Hungary is better off now than during the FIDESZ years. You are still not able to provide any evidence. If you can provide any evidence to that effect, I will gladly counter it. Until then you are nothing but a communist fool who is so certain that life is great because he has RTL and Big Brother on TV and his Diet Coke every day. Long live the proletariat! W00t! I love silly communists... --PistolPower 18:38, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have to provide you anything - you didnt provided any proof either. Stop acting like a kid. Vandalising my personal page is realy, realy intelligent. Syro 18:59, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's more intelligent than you. And it makes something very clear, namely, that you are a COMMUNIST. --PistolPower 16:20, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Second coward

[edit]

195.70.44.10 is another one of those Interware cowards. Budapest probably. Runs Debian Linux. Possibly Interware employee computer? --PistolPower 23:57, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The neutrality of the article is disputed

[edit]

I disagree with this interpretation. The NPOV policy says that facts have to be written about in a neutral manner, not that facts have to be neutral themselves. If you dispute a fact, say so. If you dispute the wording, say so. If you don't like a notable fact like the origins of the newspaper, well tough shit. I'd like to see specific problems cited with the article, so I'll remove the neutrality disputed template in a week if noone comes forward with anything. You got it totally wrong re: USA and Israel

[edit]

Nepszabadsag is uncritical and higly supportive of whatever american and israeli policies! They always carry Bush and Tel-Aviv politics in detail and carry many opinions againt palestinians and US-irritating factors like Hugo Chavez. Nepszabadsag has a lot of jewish intellectuel oriented cultural and lifestyle content.

Do you remember when Bush announced the hydrogen-economy initiative not too long ago? Next day its report was covering the entire front page of Nepszabadsag, with a big photo of Bush under the title "Dawn of New Era in Environmentally Sound Economy". I couldn't stop laughing, it was so obvious to all thinking people worldwide that Dubya does not take it any seriously, but Nepszabadsag is so pro-USA, they made a fool of themselves by balloning this non-story to full front page.

The news of israeli army attacking whatever palestinians is always fourth page or even more back in Nepszabadsag, any palestinian attack against settlers is always front page. Nepszabadsag always writes "Israel, a parlamentary democracy" instead of simply Israel, but palestinian death tolls are always "N dead, 2N wounded, probably way exaggerated" according to them.

It is the right-wing daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet who is highly criticial of Israel and Bush and is regularly accused of anti-semitism and anti-americanism (anti-globalism). Magyar Nemzet often alleges Hungary is being "palestinized", that is jewish capital and political might conquers us silently and one day we wake up to becoming oppressed in our own birthland. 213.178.114.82 20:40, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I -as Hungarian living in H. - can confirm you.

  1. In Hungary, socialists and szdsz are uncritically (we can say moreover, compradorely) loyal to America/Israel, while Fidesz rather EU-originated.
  2. I don't think Magyar Nemzet is highly critical to Israel and Bush, only critical and I never've read many thing in it like you said (if you want a "highly critical" and anti-israel hungarian newspaper, you should read Magyar Fórum I think). Nor clear anti-globalism is typical for MN, although sometimes it can feature articles could be interpreted as critisism of parts of the global passage.
  3. Ah yeah. I viewed the page history and saw that info Népszabadság is an anti-semitic organ comes from www.antisemitism.hu. Antisemitism.hu is owned by a blindfold pro-israel organization called Mazsike ("Hungarian Jewish Cultural Organisation") and it is totally airy most times. For example, when the newspaper called "Magyar Demokrata" printed the logo of SzDSz with (a potentially random) colour mistake, the Mazsike-webpage wrote that "this is a proof of presumable anti-semitism of Magyar Demokrata ...". LOL :-)) I thing during a finite time all Hungarian media will visible on they "antisemitic media"-list ... mayhaps except themselfs. 89.133.5.184 17:59, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
