small trees growing to 30 m tall seems like a contradiction to me. Are they usually much smaller? --Shingra (talk) 17:13, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Please see Quina which I suspect is the same as this article... Fintor (talk) 09:39, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Estoraque is a name given to species: Liquidambar styraciflua and Styrax officinale not to Myroxylon. I deleted that part and added some extra information about the Peru Balsam, I don't know if I should have added this reference as well: http://www.ildis.org/LegumeWeb?version~10.01&LegumeWeb&tno~7365&genus~Myroxylon&species~pereirae. [JZetino]

Break out and start new article for Balsam of Peru content?

[edit]

Hello. Any thoughts as to whether at this point it would make sense to break out the Balsam of Peru content, and create a new article -- linked to this one? Thanks.--Epeefleche (talk) 00:17, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A split seems reasonable at this point. The information on the genus is getting kind of overwhelmed by the information on the plant product. Plantdrew (talk) 00:33, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Done.--Epeefleche (talk) 20:37, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
