Power Pop?

[edit]

I'm not really a big fan of this album, but does it actually qualify as "power pop" or was someone just messing around here? 71.162.87.60 (talk) 17:47, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re the "original research" tag that was added... how are we supposed to reference a promotional event where we were not allowed to record the sound? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.12.200.49 (talk) 10:57, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm... The band members are actually for the upcoming minitour... Can someone confirm if the bass player on the album recording is actually Earl Harvin and the keyboard player Torsten Stenzel? Any other differences? This information must be updated! --84.249.212.126 16:49, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Lead vocals, backing vocals, guitars, additional electronic drums, keyboards, programming (tour): Toni Turunen
  • Keyboards and backing vocals (tour): Maria Ilmoniemi
  • Keyboards and programming (studio): Torsten Stenzel
  • Guitars: Alex Scholpp
  • Cello (tour): Markus Hohti
(was announced, but I have not seen him around on the concerts)
(tour cello is electric, of course)
  • Guest musicians (studio, featured soloists): Kiko Loureiro (acoustic guitars), Lili Haydn (violin), Martin Tillmann (cello, electric cello), Izumi Kawakatsu (piano)
  • Additional backing vocals (studio): Tea Tähtinen, Toni Turunen, Torsten Stenzel
metal-archives.org classifies Torsten Stenzel and Earl Harvin as former members, though the band membership does not seem to be fixed.
Update: In 2008, the tour musicians will be the same as in 2007. The chemistry was very good. Florian Blaschke (talk) 17:29, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Argh. Now I am confused about something else. Tarja's blog says "Mel Wesson, Chris Vrenna and In Extremo did very interesting remixes of I Walk Alone" suggesting there are 3 remixes, but only two are on the singles, so this doesn't add up... --84.249.212.126 17:42, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The In Extremo remix is on the 2-track version of the single and on the Limited Edition of the album. Florian Blaschke (talk) 17:59, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citation of Mozart's Requiem

[edit]

"Ite, missa est" uses a theme from Mozart's Requiem in D minor KV 626. Maybe this could be mentioned.

Reception?

[edit]

Why does this article have no section regarding its reception, or even any mention of it at all? Given that the album is generally regarded as being below expectations and mediocre to poor, it seems like a pretty important thing to include. 50.135.73.142 (talk) 09:14, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
