Factual accuracy
[edit]This was a #1 hit for Bobby Brown(who took poo out of whitney houston ass to save her life..). The article should be about both versions of the song, and not just one. --FuriousFreddy 02:20, 30 September 2005 (UTC)
- It'd be ok with me. I mean there are a lot of covers with own pages. -- Luigi-ish 19:17, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I suggest that My Prerogative have two seperate pages - one for Bobby's and the other for Britney makes sense really.
- Strong oppose Same song, both versions should be covered in the same article. Someone looking for info about the song should have one article to look at to get their information. GassyGuy 04:27, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
- Strong oppose Same song - should be together on same page as almost all original/cover version articles are. -- eo 01:39, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I came looking for the Britney Spears album and there should be a page about it.
Who cares about britneys crap cover version!?
[edit]britney spears massacred this song with her tuneless and uninspired reworking. some recentism is creeping into this article which will need to be watched. spears insipid cover version should be a footnote at the end of the bobby brown version. Encise 15:16, 5 May 2007 (UTC)encise
Obviously a great deal of people cared about the song because it was a worldwide hit oversea's in MANY countries. One could even argue that Brit's cover of the song was a bigger hit then Bobbie's since it charted in many more area's. Britney's version of the song was even a top 5 WORLD hit. Britney's version SHOULD be mentioned with the song. Why? Because it was a massive world hit around the world. As seen as it's success on the world chart.-Skin...

Mispronunciation
[edit]Should we mention that the word "prerogative" is clearly mispronounced in both versions of the song? It should be "pre-rog-a-tive" not "per-og-a-tive". Most of America mispronounces the word now due to this song.Heinriksen (talk) 04:20, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I think it should also list R&B in the genre thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.16.161.191 (talk) 17:59, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Split of My Prerogative (Britney Spears song)
[edit]Britney Spears' version was just split into a standalone article, My Prerogative (Britney Spears song). I noticed that consensus above was against it, but still cleaned up the immediate artifacts that were left.
I would not mind if someone undid the whole move, but since the above consensus is relatively old I didn't immediately do so myself. Opinions? --AmaltheaTalk 18:42, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned references in My Prerogative
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of My Prerogative's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

[edit]Did Youngstown sample this song in "I'll Be Your Everything" (the Inspector Gadget theme)? The two songs sound a bit similar. FiredanceThroughTheNight (talk) 00:52, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
