Suggested split
[edit]I would wait until there is more development before splitting. Both films share the same plot anyway. Hoverfish Talk 13:19, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Proposed merger
[edit]This page was split from the 1994 version without concensus. There is hardly any development of either film and would sui one article alone. LizzieHarrison 16:27, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- The articles aren't very high quality admittedly but on a general principle I would think it is better to keep separate articles for the English language remakes of French films. -- Horkana (talk) 17:01, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- This seems to indicate French-language sources that mention the film in passing. I think it's enough to keep it split. Erik (talk | contribs | wt:film) 19:20, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- What rationale was there to split the article in the first place? The French language film is notable but what secondary sources does the English language version have? LizzieHarrison 13:10, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Google News Search shows these. We just need to incorporate them to show more clearly that the film is notable. Erik (talk | contribs | wt:film) 13:37, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- I appear to been the one that originally split the articles, although I really have no recollection, and can't really speak to the rationale for doing so. (I suspect I was merely acting on the split tag.) That said, I'm indifferent on the merge, and will defer to editors better acquainted with WP:FILM than I.—Ketil Trout (<><!) 23:34, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

- Lacks in enough motives to be merged with different article, as the English language version was commercial success [1] [2]. --Ferrie (talk) 11:29, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Disagree with merge. Although articles may need improving, these are two separate films, notable in their own right. Rob Sinden (talk) 15:07, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Title
[edit]Why is this movie listed by the English translation of the title instead of its actual title?? It seems to me it would make a lot more sense to list it under its correct title but before I move it I want to check for any objections or problems that I'm perhaps not seeing. I appreciate any input anyone might have. -- edi(talk) 08:54, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
